Wedding Car Hire Scotland

A wedding car — or a wedding chauffeur hire booking, as most couples call it — is the one photograph that gets sent to the family group chat before the ceremony has finished. It is the arrival, the departure, and the twenty minutes in between where the couple actually see each other alone. ScotLuxe supplies wedding cars across Scotland — Edinburgh venues, Glasgow city hotels, the Fife coast, the Angus estates, Perthshire castles and the Highlands. Every wedding chauffeur hire booking includes ivory ribbon, champagne flutes, a bottle in the cooler and a suited chauffeur who knows to stand back and to open the door at exactly the right moment.

What's included in every wedding booking

Freshly valeted vehicle presented an hour before the pickup time. Ivory ribbon fitted to the bonnet (colour matched on request). Complimentary bottle of chilled champagne with two crystal flutes. Suited chauffeur in white gloves. Rear-cabin comfort adjustments for the dress. Umbrellas in the boot regardless of forecast. Coordinated timing with the venue and photographer.

Two-car and multi-car wedding packages

A significant proportion of bookings are two-car: bride in the Rolls-Royce Ghost, bridesmaids in the Bentley Mulsanne, both arriving in convoy. For larger wedding parties we add the Mercedes Vito for the immediate family or grandparents. The vehicles are matched in tone — no obvious hierarchy of luxury between them.

Popular Scottish wedding venues we cover

Prestonfield House, The Balmoral, The Signet Library, The Caves and The Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh. Boclair House, One Devonshire Gardens and 29 Royal Exchange Square in Glasgow. Fairmont St Andrews, Kinkell Byre and Balbirnie House in Fife. Errol Park, Airth Castle and Cromlix in Perthshire. Ardoe House and Meldrum House in the northeast. We also cover the West Highlands including Inverlochy Castle and Isle of Eriska.

Timing, waiting and split runs

Standard wedding hire is a three-hour block covering the bridal party pickup, journey to the ceremony, waiting through the ceremony, and post-ceremony photos before departure to the reception. Longer blocks are available and often sensible — the chauffeur can also handle late-night runs for parents or elderly guests back to hotels.

Vehicle recommendations: Rolls-Royce Ghost — Bride and father — the classic arrival car; Bentley Mulsanne — Bridesmaids or a two-car pairing with the Ghost; Mercedes-Benz S-Class — Second car for immediate family, or a discreet single-car choice; Mercedes Vito — Wedding party transport for grandparents or the wider family.

How much does it cost to hire a Rolls Royce wedding car? Rolls-Royce Ghost wedding car hire with ScotLuxe starts from £500 for a 3-hour block, including ivory ribbon, chilled champagne, crystal flutes and a suited chauffeur. Bentley Mulsanne from £400, Mercedes-Benz S-Class from £300. Two-car Ghost + Mulsanne pairings from £850.

How far in advance should we book? Six to twelve months for peak-season Saturdays (May–September) and any Edinburgh Festival weekend. Winter and midweek weddings are usually available with 6–8 weeks' notice.

Can we book two wedding cars for the same wedding? Yes — very common. Ghost + Mulsanne is the most requested wedding cars pairing, with the bride in the Ghost and bridesmaids in the Mulsanne arriving in convoy.

What ribbon and decoration options are included? Ivory ribbon fitted to the bonnet is standard on every wedding car. Other ribbon colours are matched to the wedding palette on request at no extra charge. We do not use floral bonnet arrangements as they mark the paint — florists are welcome to attach discreet interior arrangements instead.

Can the same wedding car do multiple trips — bridal party pickup, ceremony, then reception? Yes. Standard wedding hire is a 3-hour block covering the bridal-party pickup, journey to the ceremony, waiting through the ceremony and the departure to the reception. For a separate evening pickup or split runs between different family groups we recommend a 5- or 6-hour block, or a second vehicle so both runs happen in parallel.

Do you cover Highland or island weddings? Yes — Inverlochy, Skibo, Eriska and the West Highlands are all covered. Overnight positioning fee may apply.

What if the ceremony overruns? The chauffeur waits. Overrun time is charged only if the total block exceeds the booked window by more than 30 minutes.
